Solution Using both MH and HPS lights would be the optimal solution in a greenhouse to allow for various stages of the plant's development but if I had to choose between the two, I'd recommend going with the HPS light since the HPS promotes fruiting and flowering and is still a good multi-purpose light ... and although I do use the MH lights for starting seedlings, I've found that I can very sucessfully start seedlings using heat under the seedlings and the HPS lighting so I get more use from the HPS lighting systems.
